Apple fest

On the 12th and 13th of October, the apple festival returns to Rødding Spøtrup, promising a celebration filled with apple-related activities and cider experiences for all ages. The charming village of Spøtrup invites both apple enthusiasts and the curious to a unique weekend that offers apples, cider, apple juice, and plenty of fun activities.

The Fascinating World of Apples and Ciders

Apple experts from both Denmark and abroad will be present in the "Apple Universe" to share their nerdy knowledge about apple varieties, grafting, disease prevention, and much more. It's a unique opportunity to learn and immerse yourself in the world of apples.

You can also explore the impressive apple exhibition, where you can taste, smell, and view over 120 different apple varieties.

For those who love cider or wish to explore the exciting cider universe, "Ciderspace" will be the perfect place. Here, you can taste the most delicious ciders and gain insight into the art of cider production. The skilled producers will gladly share their expertise.

There will be exciting lectures by apple and cider experts discussing everything from creating new apple varieties to choosing the perfect apple tree for your garden.

Transform Your Apples into Delicious Juice

Do you have surplus apples at home or perhaps from your neighbor's garden? Bring them along and either juice them yourself at the smaller facilities with guidance or have them juiced at the communal juicery. There's even a mini-juicery where young children can participate and experience how apples are transformed into tasty juice. So if you love freshly pressed apple juice, this is your chance to make your own and take it home. If you don't have your own apples, you can buy apples or ready-made juice on-site.

A Festival for the Whole Family

The entire family is welcome! The festival offers activities for all ages. There's a scavenger hunt for the kids, apple throwing, and a creative corner. You can explore the many stalls featuring items like handicrafts and enjoy apple-inspired street food when hunger strikes.

The entrance fee is only 30 DKK, and it grants you access on both Saturday and Sunday. Members of the "Foreningen Rødding – Æblets by i Salling" (Association of Rødding – Apple Town in Salling) as well as all individuals under 18 years old have free admission. So, bring the whole family along. Once you're inside, all activities, including the lectures, are free.
