The archipelago trail: Svendborg - Troense - Rudkøbing
This beautiful 26 km journey starts in Svendborg, takes you across the Svendborg Sound Bridge and Tåsinge before you reach the Langeland Bridge and Rudkøbing.
On this stage, you walk over the Svendborg Sound Bridge to Tåsinge. You pass through the old ferry town of Vindeby, which today has replaced the ferry harbor with a charming marina. From here, the journey continues to the natural area Skansen and to the fruit and skipper town of Troense. You have the opportunity to visit Valdemar's Castle, and you can greet Ambrosius Stub's oak tree before hiking along the coast east of Nørreskoven and Dyrehaven, where Elvira Madigan and Sixten Sparre ended their days.
The trail takes you further to the old village of Lundby, believed to have been established around the year 1000, along Lunke Bay, where at low tide you can see the extensive sand and mud flats, and over the causeway to Siø, finally continuing over the impressive Langeland Bridge to end in the market town of Rudkøbing on Langeland.
