In the exhibition "Danner of Denmark", Frederiksborg Castle will give you an insight into who she truly was and what significance she has had for our society today, starting in May 2025.
Countess Danner is a prominent historical figure who went from being hated in her time to being known as an iconic symbol in our society. She has become a role model for the fight for women's liberation and against social norms and injustices. Through paintings, drawings, sculptures, letters, photos, films, and diaries, you will come very close to her and gain an understanding of who she was, both as a person and as a role model. Through this exhibition, you will see how our society has changed, and how new values have emerged over time through the Countess. Danner's story is Denmark's story.
