Flejsborg Church
Amidst scenic surroundings in Flejsborg, you will find the church, which holds a fascinating history.
The Norman granite ashlar church is build on a foundation with sloping edges. One of the north-facing ashlars depicts a lion figure.
A runic stone uneathed in the site of the bell frame can be seen in the church porch. The stone carries the following epitaph: "Thorkild erected this stone to ... son, his father". The Renaissance altarpiece depicts the Crucifixion.
The front of recent date is made in painted sandstone. The matchless church lamps have been designed by the famous Ingrid Exner. The south-facing church porch was added in 1881.
