Grenaa Beach
The perfect place for the family to enjoy a picnic. In summer there is a rescue tower with lifeguards on the beach.
One of Denmark's best beaches
The beach is located south of Grenaa Harbour and is actually two beaches, separated by Polder Reef, which is a very popular fishing spot with garfish and trout. The beach was awarded Blue Flag status in 2024.
The beach closest to the harbour, with holiday homes in the dune, is very child-friendly with shallow water and the finest sand. Throughout the summer you can use the beach volleyball court and take part in many activities.
SUP adventures at Grenaa Beach
Grenaa Strand is not only known as one of Denmark's best beaches, but also as a perfect place for an unforgettable SUP experience, especially in the shallow water in the centre!

During the summer holidays, there is a lifeguard tower with coastal lifeguards on the beach.
Looking for amber - or just a nice stroll
Further south, with great views towards Havknuden, you'll find the beautiful sandy beach, which is one of Denmark's best. Walk a few kilometres and you'll have the beautiful beach all to yourself. A beach walk like this is worth a visit all year round, and if you're lucky you might even find amber here.
