Hike - Ferring Lake

The area around the Ferring Lake on the North Sea is a haven for a large number of resting birds, especially diving ducks, especially during the winter months. All year round, the area offers special nature experiences. The sea is calm and inviting in the summer and wild and rushing in the winter months. Once you've got wind of the hair and red cheeks of the fresh air, it's good to come inside at Bovbjerg Lighthouse, which holds both exciting cultural history and a café with local delights.

In 2015, the path around Ferring Lake was compleated. The lake is a 320 hectares brackish water lake with an average depth of 1.4 meters and a maximum depth of 2.4 meters.

The area around the lake is, in the winter months especially, a home of a lot of different resting birds, especially diving ducks.
