This summer apartment has plenty of space – and you are close to the island’s animal life, preserved nature areas and great experiences that you can share with your loved ones.
Good facilities
The apartment consists of a spacious kitchen-dining area, living room, a bathroom, and a bedroom with a double bed. In the living room there is a sofa bed for two. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything that you will need for cooking. The apartment, located in one end of the stable building appears cosy and newly renovated with rustic wooden furniture. There is no TV here but there is access to free wi-fi. From the large patio facing east and south you can see all the activity at the farm which is occupied by the host couple and 10 icelandic horses.
Explore Endelave on foot, by bike or on horseback
The Icelandic horses at the farm have an important job. They work with transporting tourists around on guided tours. There is hardly a more memorable way to experience the island than from the back of a horse. So go riding with the experienced guide and explore the island’s exciting nature. The hiking route The Kanino attracts many visitors to the island every year. The 21-kilometre-long route around the island is clearly waymarked. You can also follow one of the three shorter routes in case 21 kilometres is a bit too much for you.
You could also bring your bicycle to the island or rent one while here. The very limited traffic on the island makes it ideal for excursions by bike.
Near the harbour and town
There is no vibrant and noisy city centre on Endelave. Here life is lived at a uniquely low pace, which gives the island its charming character that will make you relax. This does not mean that nothing happens though. The island inhabitants are united in arranging events for the visitors, and there are several eateries, shops, activities, and great opportunities for guided tours on the island.
