Hovvig naturreservat
Hovvig is a large bird sanctuary. The area is in actual fact an "unsuccessful" attempt at land reclamation which has now developed into beautiful wetlands with an abundance of birdlife.
The Isefjord path from Rørvig to Kongsøre runs through the sanctuary. The area is daily supervised by Odsherreds forrest district and in the area you rea not ollowed to drive your car.
Hovvig has the most varied bird fauna in Denmark. In the last few years the most interesting is he newly established colony of cormorants.
It could be a good idea to use the large bird watch tower which
can be reached from Nakke. From here there is a magnificent view out across the wetlands.
