Water Steps,(Vandtrappe) Concrete and ceramic water sculpture by Irene and Per Frøsig, 1996. Sindal
This fountain is one of many in Sindal. It is decorated in colorful ceramics that change hue when they become wet. The water thus becomes a life-giving part of the sculpture, exactly as water gives life in nature.
"Water Steps" has been described as magical because of the beautiful colours and the two spheres at the top, which give the impression that they could fall down at any minute. The materials: coloured concrete, ceramics, wood and metal. In the middle is a staircase where the water cascades down from trough to trough.
